Creg ny Baa crash inquest to open

The inquest into the death of an Onchan man who died over a month after a crash on the Mountain Road will open this morning.

Christopher Heaney died at the weekend, having been involved in a crash at the Creg ny Baa at the start of September.

He'd spent time in a hospital in the UK, before being brought back to the Island last week.

Mr Heaney and a female passenger both sustained serious injuries in the crash.

The passenger is said to making a good recovery.

The Coroner of Inquests will hold the initial hearing at 11.00
