Council runs out of soil for allotments

Douglas Council is appealing for donations of topsoil for its next phase of allotments.
Over 100 people are currently waiting for an allotment.
More plots are being built on Johnny Watterson's Lane, but the Council's supply of topsoil was all used creating the new lawn cemetery.
The local authority hopes a contractor or developer will come forward with surplus soil so it can complete the allotments, and allocate the remaining 26 plots.
