The MHK for Michael hopes the new Social Care Minister will give the lease for Jurby Shop high priority.
Alfred Cannan isn't happy that the Department hasn't appointed a leaseholder to the village's general stores and post office, which closed earlier this year.
Mr Cannan says he has spoken to the Department and that a decision is expected soon.
He's hoping that when a new Minister is appointed, the issue will be treated as a matter of urgency.
Mr Cannan is disappointed that the process has taken so long [play clip]
