Ramsey Bay has become the Island's first Marine Nature Reserve.
It's hoped the designation will protect marine life in the area, safeguard local fisheries and help develop marine tourism in Ramsey.
It has taken three years to get the reserve in place.
The area is divided into a number of zones, each with different fishing restrictions.
Full details of the new byelaws are being sent to marine stakeholders
