The footbridge for the new Bemahague School is being erected next week.

The 50 tonne bridge will provide a crossing point for pupils between the school and Governor's Hill.

As a result, the Mountain Road will be closed from Governor's Bridge to Signpost Corner from 6.00 on Monday morning, until 5.00pm on Friday.

It's hoped that the 22 metre long bridge will be in use by the public by November.

The £33.8million school is due to open next September.
