Gay rights group calls for end to blood ban on Isle of Man

A gay rights group on the Island is calling for the Isle of Man to follow the UK, and lift the ban on gay men donating blood.

The Isle of Man LGBT is welcoming the announcement by the British Government yesterday, ending the lifetime ban on gay men giving blood.

The ban was originally brought in during the 1980s to prevent the risk of HIV being spread.

The group is now calling for the Manx Government to follow suit
