Unemployment on the Isle of Man fell during August.

The jobless total fell by 60 last month, taking the number of people out of work down to 830.

That gives an unemployment rate of 1.9%.

However, half of the reduction is being put down to individuals moving off jobseekers allowance onto other benefits.

The Treasury says improvements were seen across all sectors except catering and entertainment.
