DEC reaches land swap deal with developer

The Department of Education has made a deal with a developer over a controversial land swap in Kirk Michael.

Dandara will now get a piece of the Michael school grounds on the Douglas Road Corner to give access to a new housing development.

In exchange, the department gets a larger plot at the back of the school.

The plans have met with opposition in the past and were rejected by the previous Education Minister.

It's still subject to planning approval.
