Aircraft lands safely after airport emergency

An aircraft has landed safely following an emergency at Ronaldsway this evening.

The Dornier 228 was preparing to land at the Island when the pilot experienced a problem with the right engine.

Four fire engines attended the airport as a precaution, but the aircraft landed safely shortly before 7.30pm

The plane was heading to the Island from Cardiff for maintenance with Manx2, and had 2 crew members on board.
