Earl of Wessex to open Games

The Commonwealth Youth Games will be opened by the Earl of Wessex.

Prince Edward will deliver a speech to hundreds of athletes at the opening ceremony at the newly refurbished Bowl next month.

The Earl, who is 7th in line to the British throne, is the Vice Patron of the Commonwealth Games Federation.

Tickets for the opening ceremony, taking place on September 8th, are available from the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal, or from the Villa Marina.
