Manx worker criticises employment laws

A Castletown man is campaigning to highlight what he believes are problems with employment laws.
Kenny Austin lost out on a job that was given to an applicant from off-Island who needed a work permit.
30 year old Mr Austin worked as relief manager at the Glue Pot pub in Castletown but when a permanent position came up, employers Heron and Brearly gave it to someone from the UK.
Mr Austin argues he was fully qualified and has worked for the Brewery for nine years.
Heron and Brearley denies it favours UK workers as 92% of its workforce are Manx.
The compnay says Mr Austin didn't have the skill mix or depth of experience needed to be a full-time manager.
