The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading is warning of cowboy builders looking for work on the Island.

The OFT says some dishonest tradesman undercut local builders for cash in hand work which is often of poor quality.

The workers are often from off Island, don't have a work permit and aren't paying VAT.

Chairman of the OFT Bill Henderson has this advice for anyone approached by a cowboy builder [play clip]
