Petitions have been presented at the Tynwald Ceremony.

The annual event allows residents of the Isle of Man to ask for a Tynwald committee to look into their grievance.

Amongst this year's petitions, Neil Cushing from the Ballawattleworth Action Group is asking for finalised plans for a Peel by-pass to be made available [play clip]

There's also a petition by Onchan Squash Club into the involvement of local authorities in planning applications, and Sulby resident David Sykes wants to see more done to prevent flooding in the area [play clip]

Mr Sykes says a previous investigation by a Tynwald select committee made a number of recommendations ten years ago which are now being ignored, and he's like to see them enforced.
