400 bikes prepare for Joey memorial lap

Over 400 bikers are expected to take to the TT course today in memory of Joey Dunlop.

The memorial rideout was first held last year to mark the 10th anniversay of Joey's death.

The Joey Dunlop Foundation is organising the event, starting from the Grandstand at 4.00 this afternoon.

The £12 entry fee goes to the charity, which provides holiday accomodation at Braddan Bridge for disabled visitors to the Island.

Kevin Quirk from the Joey Dunlop Foundation says anyone can take part [play clip]

Amongst those taking part is former TT competitor Robbie Silvester.

Robbie was badly injured in a crash during TT 2002, and Kevin says it's a big step for him to do the lap [play clip]

Motorists are warned that there is likley to be some congestion around the TT course as the lap takes place
