RAF called in to help injured cyclist

Ambulance crews, fire officers and an RAF search and rescue helicopter were called out after a mountain biker was injured near Brandywell.
The man had sustained head and spinal injuries.
The fire service used a six wheeled off road vehicle in an attempt to recover the cyclist, but the nature of the man's injuries meant an RAF helicopter had to be brought in.
The incident happened at around 8.00 yesterday evening.
The condition of the cyclist is unknown
