Vicar was disorganised not dishonest, says High Bailiff

The High Bailiff says there wasn't enough proof a vicar intended to steal £11,000 from the church.

John Needham cleared Canon David Green of theft and false accounting charges, after the clergyman's defence claimed he was merely disorganised and hopeless with money.

It was judged that the prosecution hadn't proved Canon Green was dishonest.

It had been alleged that the offences had taken place over a period of twelve years
