The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure says it will continue to try to find new jobs for five railway workers who had their jobs cut.

It was confirmed yesterday that an appeal against their redundancy by the group had failed.

The workers are currently serving a notice period to the end of July.

The men's jobs include joiner, painter and blacksmith.
