Man assaulted in Douglas

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in a lane in Douglas.

It happened just before three o'clock yesterday afternoon in the alley behind Farrant Street, which links Hilary Road and Bury Street.

The 27 year old suffered bruising but didn't need hospital treatment.

The man police think is responsible is between 35 and 40 years old and around 5'10".

He was wearing blue jeans and a khaki jacket.

The suspect walked off in the direction of Park Road.
