Around 200 Isle of Man residents are marking the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible by re-writing a section by hand in modern English.

The Island is taking part in the handwritten bible project, which will see 20 full versions of the bible compiled and displayed across the British Isles.

The project is taking place across the Island, including at the Laxey Wheel, at Snaefell and even in the prison.

The Bishop of Sodor and Man Robert Paterson transcribed a verse at Energy FM, and explained the significance of the text [play clip]
