Jayne Hughes has been announced as the Island's new Deputy High Bailiff.
She's believed to be the first female to hold a Manx judicial position on a permanent basis.
Mrs Hughes has worked with the Attorney General's Chambers since 2008, and had previously spent 12 years with the UK's Crown Prosecution Service.
She'll work alongside the High Bailiff John Needham and the Deemsters in the High Court.
