Gubay to help fund town centre link

Businessman Albert Gubay is to help fund a new link between south west Douglas and the town centre.
The tycoon has offered to pay for the construction of a bridge over the River Douglas on land at his property at Nunnery Mills on the Old Castletown Road
It will assist Douglas Corporation's plans to create a footpath and cycle way connecting North Quay, Lake Road and the Quay West development on Bridge Road with the pathway out to Kewaigue.
