A politician is calling for the Minister for Community, Culture and Leisure to quit after letters were sent to employees within his Department regarding potential job losses.

Bill Henderson is unhappy that some workers within the public transport sector have been told that their jobs have been selected for redundancy whilst discussions on job cuts are still ongoing.

He's released a statement calling for Minister David Cretney to resign, saying everything he touches is an utter disaster.

Mr Cretney defended his Department in the House of Keys this morning, saying he is still looking to save jobs.

He also confirmed the Director of Transport is learning to drive trains, but denied it was because of a shortage in qualified drivers [play clip]
