The Department of Health had hoped to move the facility to Michael Primary School
Planning permission is being sought to keep the doctors surgery in Kirk Michael in its current location.
Permission is needed to keep the surgery at Cannan Court for the time being.
The Department of Health had hoped to move the practice to a section of the local primary school.
However a public consultation showed locals weren't in favour of the idea.
