Three teenage boys have been recognised for saving the life of a woman.

Jordan Butler and Shane Garrett, who were 15 at the time, and Greg Radcliffe who was 14, were given an award at the Chief Constable's Award Ceremony for courage and quick thinking.

The woman had entered the sea with the apparent intention of taking her own life.

The awards were handed out this week.
