By-election accused set for court appearance

Seven people charged following the Douglas East by-election are due in court this morning.
Ten people were arrested over allegations of irregularities in the run up to the election.
One was released with no further action to be taken, one was cautioned and another remained on bail.
The other seven were charged with offences of conspiracy in regards to Representation of the People Act and Forgery.
