It's set to be a record year for new public sector homes and first time buyer homes on the Island.
Social Care Minister Martyn Quayle says his Department is on course to have completed a record number of homes by the end of the financial year.
Over the past decade, 1000 public sector houses have been built and 1100 first time buyers have been granted assistance.
Mr Quayle spoke of the achievements whilst in Belfast at the British Irish Council's Housing Workstream meeting.
