Freight service comes to an end

A freight service between the Isle of Man and Liverpool comes to an end today.
Mezeron began the twice daily crossings in October, but announced last week that the route wasn't being continued.
A statement from the operator said it hadn't seen the growth expected to make the service profitable.
It's good news for rivals at the Steam Packet Company, who were forced to make redundancies after losing custom to Mezeron.
