A Minister looking to make savings of £900,000 has pledged to look at all options before making staff cuts.

Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney met with members of Unite and the Whitley Council yesterday, along with senior members of his department.

Mr Cretney is promising an independent review of the management structure of the department.

He also insists redundancies are a worst case scenario, and that everything is being done to find savings elsewhere
