The Steam Packet Company says none of its passengers were hurt during yesterday's incident at Heysham.
The Ben my Chree made a heavier than usual contact with the dock whilst berthing in Heysham.
A freak gust of wind of around 60 knots struck the vessel whilst it was docking.
Sailings were delayed whilst an inspection was carried out to ensure the Ben was safe to sail.
The Steam Packet says passenger safety is its main priority, but apologises to passengers for the delay
