Drink drivers not getting the message

A woman from Ballasalla has appeared in court charged with failure to provide a blood specimen.
Karen Craine of Clagh Vane was stopped by Police on Christmas day and gave breath samples ranging from 73 to 96 mg but refused to allow a police doctor to take a blood sample for evidence.
Deputy High Baliff Alistair Montgomorie sentenced her to 200 hours community service and disqualified her from driving for 3 years.
In conclusion Mr Montgomorie said if it wasn't for her previous good character she would definitely have been sent to prison.
