The Inspector with the Island's Roads Policing Unit is warning motorists that targetting drink-drivers is always a priority.
The annual Christmas campaign against drink driving finished earlier this week, showing that more drivers were arrested and charged with the offence than last year.
Those found guilty of being over the limit are likely to lose their licence, and in some cases could face a prison sentence.
