A role to help prisoners re-enter society has been set up at the Isle of Man Prison.
Current prison officer Paul Wade is to take up the post of Resettlement Officer.
The position involves working with a number of organisations on the Island to reduce the likelihood of reoffending once they have been released.
Amongst Mr Wade's duties will be finding organisations willing to employ ex-prisoners, finding accomodation for them, and providing them with identification such as bank accounts.
