Fire crews called to boat fire in Peel

More details have emerged of the fishing boat fire in Peel harbour on New Years day.
The vessel was berthed opposite the Coastguard station in Peel when smoke and flames were seen bellowing from below decks.
Fire crews from Peel and Douglas attended the scene and extinguished the fire in the mess area of the boat.
Crews remained on site for 2 hours ensuring that the fire had not spread to any other vessels.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
