Driver cut from HGV

The driver of a heavy goods vehicle had to be cut from his wagon yesterday after a 4 vehicle accident on the main Douglas to Castletown road. Fire and rescue officers used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the driver who received treatment at the scene before being taken to Nobles hospital. Involved in the incident were two heavy goods vehicles, a car and a van, none of the other drivers reported any injuries.
