Public help police in town centre disturbance

A number of people have been charged with public order offences following a disturbance in Douglas town centre.

The incident took place at around 4.00 on Sunday afternoon in Strand Street.

Police arrested those responsible with help from members of the public who had witnessed the disturbance.

Officers are thanking the public for their assistance, adding that incidents of this nature are taken seriously, and will be dealt with robustly.
