A scheme to replace the radar system at Ronaldsway costing nearly £3.5million has been unveiled.

The Island's Airport currently operates two radar systems simultaneously.

However, the approval to operate one of the radars is due to expire at the end of next year, so a replacement is needed.

The airport could continue to run safely with only one radar, but the airport's Director believes this would reduce efficiency.

The Department of Infrastructure has presented the plans to tbe members of Tynwald.
