Chief Secretary appointment to be raised in Keys

Current Chief Secretary Mary Williams is retiring on December 31st 2010
Questions are to be raised over the replacement of the Chief Secretary in the House of Keys next week.
Onchan MHK Peter Karran will ask Chairman of the Civil Service Commission John Houghton when the new Chief Secretary will be named, and what the salary will be.
The vacancy was advertised last month.
The role is currently held by Mary Williams, who is to retire at the end of the year.
The Chief Secretary is the head of the Island's Civil Service, and advises the Chief Minister, Council of Ministers, and the Lieutenant Governor.
