Competition for Steam Packet

High level talks have taken place between Government officials and the Steam Packet Company to assess what effect a new freight operator in the Irish sea will have on the company.
The company has already lost 2 major contracts to Mezeron, and it's feared that passenger fares and services could be affected as a result.
Staff are to be briefed about the current situation and the potential risk to jobs today.
