The quality of the water around the Island is reported to be improving.

The Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority says areas served exclusively by IRIS have achieved above 99% good quality samples this summer.

380 samples have been taken between May and September this year.

A report released earlier this year by the Good Beach Guide said 19 of the Island's beaches failed to meet the minimum European standard for good quality bathing.
