The Isle of Man Government has confirmed that a separate visa is not required for people travelling to Romania.
The clarification comes after a Manxman was refused entry in to the country for not having a separate document and was returned to the island by border officials.
A spokesman from the Chief Secretary's Office have said that a British passport issued on the Isle of Man entitles holders to travel across Europe unrestricted.
