An Isle of Man businessman, jailed for money laundering, has had his appeal against the sentence dismissed.
70 year old Trevor Baines appealed against the 6 year sentence handed down last year.
Judge of Appeal Tattersall and Deemster Doyle heard the case on Wednesday last week.
They said what Baines was convicted of is very serious and that Deemster Birkett, who originally oversaw the case, had no choice but to impose a substantial custodial sentence.
