Manx doctor supports paid dieting idea

Paying people to lose weight or stop smoking could save UK taxpayers money.

Health advisory body NICE says the NHS should offer cash incentives to people to live healthier lifestyles.

Critics say it's a waste of money.

But the Isle of Man public health consultant Dr Paul Emerson says he doesn't see any problem with trying every available option.
