The jury is being sworn-in in a manslaughter trial.

18 year old Craig Thomas Sheppard from Jurby is accused of the manslaughter of Lionel Ramsey Kewley, who died in October last year.

The defence requested a 12 man jury, but this was turned down.

A Manx jury is traditionally made up of seven jurors, but twelve can serve for more serious cases.

The trial is set to last for seven day.

Sheppard denies the charge.
