Moby Dick's is part of the Castlemona Shops
A man sustained serious injuries following an assault outside a chip shop in Douglas.
The male was kicked and stamped on whilst on the ground outside Moby Dick's on Queens Promenade.
The incident happened between 1.00am and 5.00am on Sunday.
Police say this level of violence is rare on the Island, but urges anyone with information to contact Lord Street Police Station.
