A man who supplied drugs to clear a debt has been jailed.

35 year old Alexander Ian James Burgess admitted supplying cocaine, offering to supply cocaine and possessing cocaine.

He was arrested in June last year following a police search at his home which found cocaine and drugs paraphernalia.

He was selling the drug to clear a drug debt, and also made a fake form of cocaine which he sold.

The court heard Burgess had fully co-operated with police and that he deeply regretted getting involved in drugs.

Deemster Doyle sentenced him to 18 months in prison.
