Thousands of people from across the British Isles are expected to gather for an open air prayer vigil led by the Pope later.

Today's event at London's Hyde Park will be the climax of the third day of the historic State Visit.

Yesterday the pontiff was greeted by Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams, in a show of unity between the Catholic and Anglican churches. The gathering at Lambeth Palace was attended by Bishop Robert Paterson from the Isle of Man.
