Visiting soldier charged with rape

A soldier who visited the Island at the weekend has been charged with rape.
31 year old Che Awembeng Collins is a serving soldier stationed at Portsmouth.
He has been granted bail set at £1000 to October 26th.
A military escort will arrive on Island on Friday to take Collins back to Portsmouth, until then he remains in police custody.
He must contact the Attorney General's office if he leaves the army, and must not contact any prosecution witnesses.
