Two men from Merseyside have been jailed for bringing drugs to the Island.

24 year old Thomas Davies from Morton Road in Liverpool has been given a 6 year custodial sentence for production of drugs and possession with intent to supply.

23 year old Paul Craig Duvall of Antonio Road in Bootle was given 7 years for similar offences.

The men arrived on the Island in February and went to a flat on Fairfield Terrace.

When officers searched the flat a short time later they found diamorphine with a street value of around £20,000.

The pair were arrested in a Douglas hotel later that day and admitted bringing the drugs to the Island.

In addition to their jail terms, the men were each given a five year exclusion order.
