The current UK passport
It's been confirmed that the new UK passport won't have an immediate impact on the Manx public.
The UK's Identity and Passport Service has redesigned the passport, which will be rolled out later this year.
A Manx version will be introduced from 2012.
Until then the British Islands passport will continue to be issued to Manx residents, and will remain valid until their date of expiry.
