More fines for dog owners

Enforcement officers in Douglas have had a firm directive by council leaders to issue more fines to dog owners who allow their pets to foul the town's streets.
Council leader David Christian has said its time for "action not education" in a bid to clean up the streets of Douglas.
The officers have been instructed to hand out £50 fines to anyone who drops litter or allows their dog to foul the pavement.
